I authored my first three black and white books in 1978. My first color edition was “Jean Shares Christmas” and was done that same fall. It was the first book in the decorative painting market devoted totally to Christmas. Twenty-five books in color have followed, and quite a few have featured Santa! Book number Twenty-nine, SANTAS, ETC. will finally be released in the summer of 2003. It will be the first of several Santas, Etc. books. I'll do at least three volumes since you have spoken loud and clear, that Santas and snowmen are what you like most.

I'll keep on doing those Santas you love, and also snowmen. I'm REALLY glad I like them too, but I do love almost ALL realistic painting subjects! Back in 1989 I made a fateful decision to write another book devoted ONLY to Christmas décor, which featured MANY Santa figures. He was in all my new pattern packets for the Dallas booth that year, and I, along with my dear friend Pippie, even dressed up as Mother Christmas to promote the holiday theme. The painters fell in love with my idea St. Nick, maybe because so many of us were from about the same era. He had that happy “Coca Cola Santa” style face, and was dressed in rather Victorian style garb for that slightly "old fashioned" look. So, St. Nick still remains my most popular subject, and although I "try" to feature other projects in my books it seems I MUST include quite a few St. Nick projects "just to keep YOU happy"!

We thought that some of my books were out of print, only to discover some boxes of the older books hidden under other more recent titles during some of my moves. We don’t have a lot of these “found books” left, but you can still find some of them in the “on line catalog”. All of my books include 8 pages of color (including covers) and most contain two color step-by-step special subject illustration pages.

You can view and/or order currently available books by clicking the On Line Catalog button or link. Many of these older editions are in limited supply. The books are listed with the most current book first with the oldest book last. NONE of my book projects will/or has appeared in packet form, as I have always tried to keep them totally separate even though many of the packets are also devoted to Santas and snowmen! If you find that you need additional help following my painting techniques, or if you are in an area that doesn’t have the advantage of local teachers, you might want to purchase one of my “HOME VIDEOS”. They’re only available through us, and were done solely to help you better understand the way I paint
